JULY SERMON SERIES IS FOR YOU AND/OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE! Are you hurting physically, spiritually, mentally, or physically? Are you in the midst of a broken relationship? Are finances holding you captive? Is your job situation hanging in the balance? The incredible healing power of Jesus Christ is real and is for you… and/or someone you love. During July I will be preaching about that incredible power. ON JULY 18 AT 6:30PM GPS WILL BE HAVING A HEALING SERVICE. It is a chance for you to tap in to that healing, restorative power that only Jesus Christ can give. Bring all of your “stuff” and place it at Jesus’ feet.

Why is it so hard to just surrender our lives to God? Is it the control thing? Is it the fact that we think we cannot have fun anymore if God is in control? Is it a trust thing? No matter what it is the fact remains that it is hard to totally surrender our lives to Christ. In May we are talking about the journey from where you are to the place where you surrender. Maybe you start small and work your way to the surrender. Just remember that it is all about the journey from where you are to where you surrender. Enjoy the ride.

What’s up GPSers?
I hope that all of you are doing well. We are jumping on board the March Madness train for this month. Our GPS sermon series is called, “March Madness–The fundamentals of our faith”. Sometimes even the pros have to get back to the basics of their sport. It could be passing, dribbling, or zone defense. We all have to start with a firm foundation before we can really come to life in our sport. That is true for our faith. We have to have a firm, solid foundation before we can really come alive in our faith. How are the fundamentals of your faith? I know that I can always use some work on the basics. If you are in the same boat, then I hope to see you in March every Sunday night.

It’s Christmas time and that means all of the Christmas specials that we all watched as kids. You remember, a boy with a drum, a deer with a nose problem, santa and the flu. Come to GPS this December and watch how the story of the Christ child comes to life through the Bible message with the help of those awesome Christmas specials. Don’t forget to check us out on Facebook where you can join in on some great discussions. Have a Merry Christmas everybody and Happy New Year.

Hey GPSers,
There is some really cool news for GPS right now. We are now on Facebook. If you have not gone there to join the GPS family on facebook, we are missing you. There are currently 248 members on facebook and we are hoping for 300 by this Sunday. It is so cool to be able to get the message out that way. You can find us on facebook at GPS Church—Rev. Dan Bogre. We are also on Twitter at GPS Church. These are just some of the coolest new ways for us to stay connected to GPSers all around the world. One of our members is a guy from my last church who is now serving in Bahgdad, Iraq. We would love for you to track us down at those two places. We are in a sermon series all about God’s blessings called “Gesundheit”. It’s about why God blesses us, how he blesses us, and why we miss them so many times in our lives.
The Decmeber sermon series is called, “Christmas, with limited commercial interruptions”. We are using some of the Christmas classics to help preach the Gospel. For instance, The Little Drummer Boy, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and The Year Without a Santa Claus. This will be a Christmas for kids of all ages because whether you are 60 or 6, you have seen these classics.
We hope to see you on facebook, twitter, and at GPS Church on Sunday Nights at 6:30pm. Go to our website, facebook, or twitter for more info.
SEE YOU SUNDAY.
His,
Rev. Dan Bogre
Pastor of GPS Church
Hey everybody. What do you say when someone sneezes? Gesundheit? God bless you? November is going to be all about God’s blessing in the world and in our lives. Why does God bless us? How does God bless us? What are we supposed to do with all these blessings. Why does everyone else seem to be more blessed than me? The last week of November GPS will be having a Thanksgiving dinner. We are calling it, “Leftovers”. We want all of you to bring some of your Thanksgiving dinner leftovers so that we can have a GPS family Thanksgiving dinner. See you there.

Did that get your attention? In September we are talking about the warrior Jesus. There is a Jesus that will come out fighting for and with us in our lives. Why do we need a warrior Jesus? Why did God give us a full armor? The fact is that God knows we are in a battle on a daily basis. Satan is stopping at nothing to destroy our lives. October is going to be all about who we are fighting. Its going to be all about the reason we need a warrior Jesus. There is a reason you have been given the full armor of God. You are not alone in the battle and you have been given everything you need to live in the victory that Christ gives us. In October we will charge in to battle and guess whay——WE WIN!! See you in October.

I have grown up in the church my whole life. Every church that I have been a part of has seemed to master the gentle, loving, comfortable, quiet, white-robed Jesus. I am man, a Christian man trying to figure out why my life is not always gentle, quiet, and comfortable. The fact is that there are times in my life when I need a Jesus that can come with power, might, and victory. There are battles in my life and I don’t want to, and can’t fight them on my own. The fact is that Jesus is also a might warrior. I have been given the whole armor of God for a reason. The fact is that my life is filled with battles and if I don’t realize that Jesus is also a mighty warrior, then I will be on my own. Are you looking for a Jesus that fights for, and with you in your day-to-day craziness? He IS there. Stop fighting all by yourself. September is all about that Jesus. Come this Sunday to hear that we even have a weapon to take in to battle. You are protected and equipped to fight. Bring on the battle because Jesus has already given us the victory.
His,
Rev. Dan
