Have you always wanted to ask God a question? If you had a chance to sit down with God and ask him one question, what would you ask? The August sermon series will be your “God questions”. I am hoping that you will email me with the questions that you have always wanted to ask. If you are at GPS, then you can just write them on your prayer cards and give them to me. We will then take all of your questions and try to merge them in to the 4 most common themed questions. You get to decide what I will be preaching on for the last four Sundays in August. I can’t wait to see what your questions are. See you this Sunday. My email address is dfbogre@chsaviour.org. Take care everybody. Happy Summer!!!!!

Hey Everybody,
Last night was awesome. Whether you were playing cornhole, basketball, ping pong, euchere, foam bowling, or Wii, it seemed as though we were all having a blast. In Psalm 40 verse 8 it God says, “And I’m coming to the party you’re throwing for me.” We threw a party for God and he was there. It was a new way to praise God with our joy, laughter, and fun. We will be doing something similar on the first Sunday of July and August. We will be cooking out and enjoying the summer weather. The rest of June I will be preaching on relationships. We are calling it, “Relationships…a three ring circus.” We will be talking about tight-rope walkers, cannonball guys, and tapeze artists. I hope that peaks your interests for the month of June. Are you in a relationship now? At times does it seem like a three ring circus? See you on Sundays in June to enjoy the circus.

Hey everyone!
At GPS, we have a huge need. We need help! We need help both behind the scenes, and out in front. We need people to help us make everything run smoothly. I have a personal need for people to help run sound. I will be leaving GPS for a while in 5 weeks, and need people to help out. James also would love to have more musicians and singers. If you like being social, and talking to people, why not join our hospitality team. Help us connect with people before the service and after. We have a great time on the GPS team, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

At GPS we want to keep things fresh and still stay true to the Gospel. That being said, we are planning the next GPS “Connecting Event”. On Sunday June 1 we will be changing up GPS quite a bit. That day will be all about connecting to each other. That day will be a day that looks a lot like a huge family picnic. First of all we would like everyone to bring some food to share. No pizza that week. You will also see a place where everyone is having a blast. We will have corn hole, foam bowling, Nintendo Wii, music, Euchere tournament, basketball, ping pong, and a lot of laughing and fun for everyone. It is just another way to be GPS connecting. I hope to see you there on the 1st of June. That came from your ideas. Keep them coming folks. Remember that at GPS we want you to belong before you believe. Be blessed.

How do you recharge? My wife, son, and I just got back from a week in Cancun. I was starting to get pretty burned out and knew that I needed to just get away. Where do you go to remember that God is good? Isn’t amazing how we forget sometimes? Maybe I am the only one that feels that way. Sometimes the world makes me forget how good he is. Other times I choose to forget because my faith seems to get in the way. That’s the journey. I was down there and God reminded me all over again how GREAT he is. I hope you have a place to remember. He is good, ya know. I pray that you too can remember this week how great he is. Find your place, time, way to just remember.

I pray for glimpses all the time. Have you ever noticed that sometimes it rains for two or three days at a time? When it rains like that I love it when the sun shines through just for a minute to remind me that the storm will pass. That is the glimpse I need to get me through the rain. Life is like that. Sometimes is rains. I pray that God will give me a glimpse of what it will look like after the storm. My faith is in the midst of a storm front right now. I am praying for a glimpse. I hope that God gives you the glimpses that you need to get you through the storms. Sometimes it rains…but the sun us just around the corner.

Connect people to GPS. Connect GPS people to each other. Connect GPS people to Christ. Connect GPS people to the community. It’s simple and straight forward. We are all about connecting. We have different strategies to accomplish all of these goals. We cannot accomplish any of them if you are not there. I don’t want to complicate it or confuse folks with the direction we are going. We want you to feel like you belong long before you believe. Please share the GPS vision with people in your life circles. That is the best way for GPS to become the life changing agent that God is calling it to be. I would love to hear what you think about the GPS vision and where we know God is taking us. Email me at dfbogre@chsaviour.org. Thank you for giving GPS a chance. We are only 5 months old and we are already seeing people impacted by GPS and it’s vision. Is it your turn?

Did any of you think that church could be so much fun? Last night at GPS was all about opening day of the Cleveland Indians. We had a first pitch, a 7th inning stretch, cotton candy, hotdogs, sunflower seeds, and a powerful Gospel message. You folks were so much fun last night. Thank you for reminding me how much fun church can be. The gospel message was still preached and we had a blast at the same time. What a night! Thank you everybody.
Hello Everybody,
It was Easter yesterday and I had no idea what to expect. You came through again. I thought that noone would be there because of the Easter holiday. There were so many of you there that you just blew me away. I really have to stop under estimating the power of God. That is another one of my struggles. Why am I still amazed at God’s grace? I pray that you were blessed by the sermon series in March. This Sunday is all about the opening day of the baseball season. Are you wondering how God can speak through baseball? Come and be amazed at God’s grace as he preaches through opening day of Major League Baseball. See you Sunday at 5:30pm. PLAY BALL!
